BIO

Carole Sojka grew up in New York but has spent most of her life in Southern California. She and her husband, Boris, were Peace Corps volunteers in the newly independent Republic of Somalia in the 60's and later she spent many years as the administrator in a public law office. She is the author of A Reason to Kill and the sequel So Many Reasons to Die, both set on Florida's Treasure Coast and the stand alone mystery novel, Psychic Damage. The third book in the Florida series, Reasons to Disapear, will be out at the end of this year.

Cynthia Lee De Boer is an author and speaker living in Nevada.  Born in Colorado in 1960, she quickly faced numerous health challenges.  These challenges as well as her varied work and life experiences have afforded her the opportunity to gain compassion and understanding of herself and others.

In 1932, at age forty-four, Raymond Chandler decided to become a detective fiction writer after losing his job as an oil company executive during the Depression. His first short story, "Blackmailers Don't Shoot", was published in 1933 in Black Mask, a popular pulp magazine. His first novel, The Big Sleep, was published in 1939. In addition to his short stories, Chandler published just seven full novels during his lifetime. All but Playback have been realized into motion pictures, some several times. In the year before he died. He died on March 26, 1959, in La Jolla, California.
